In this workshop you will be able to have your first contact with Arab Dance in one of the best schools in our country.

You will learn some basic dance moves in a short, simple and fun choreography.

Workshop "Saidi with... Catarina Branco" | Setúbal, Portugal

SAIDI WITH… CATARINA BRANCO

"Saidi" is one of the best known and danced Egyptian folklores.

Originating from the martial art 'Tahtib' of southern Egypt and traditionally only practiced by men, the Saidi dance is characterized by its strength and joy, its foot movements and the use of the stick/cane.

In this workshop, Catarina will teach typical dance movements with and without a stick and will develop the posture and energy typical of this dance.

Intended for intermediate to advanced students, a cultural framework will be made with the delivery of theoretical material and taught technique of Saidi dance framed in choreographic combinations for training.

If you are unable to come to Setúbal, you can participate via online through ZOOM.

In 2019, the artist opened Catarina Branco Oriental Studio in Setúbal, a school dedicated to teaching and disclosing the art of Oriental Dance in Portugal.

3rd Dançattitude Master | Lisbon, Portugal

The "Dançattitude Master" is a day full of wokshops in which you will have the opportunity to learn various styles of Oriental Dance with some of the Dançattitude teachers.

I will be the first teacher of the day with Romantic Style Workshop where we will work on the transmission of feelings, body fluency and artistic expression.

At the end of this day, there will also be a show where teachers and invited dancers will perform. I will perfom solo and with my students.

Opportunity: Two of the participants in Dançattitude Master will have the opportunity to perform in the show. The dancers will be selected by the organization.

I will perform in the main gala of YALLAH FESTIVAL on May 11, solo and with my group Mahasin and I will teach two workshops with the topic "Catarina Branco Style" and "Isolation and Muscle Dissociation" on May 12th.
